Truckman gears up for 68 plate release with expanded accessory stock team
The West Midlands-based company has recruited two additional Stock Controllers, Julie Maitland and Josh Frost, to ensure optimum stock levels are maintained to meet the growing number of enquiries for Truckman’s accessory ranges.
Throughout her career, Julie has gained extensive stock controlling experience, previously working as a stock controller in the wholesale industry.
Josh has a wealth of knowledge in stock control and business demand forecasting. In his previous role, Josh controlled purchasing and managed inventory within the impulse goods category for both the retail and wholesale distribution divisions of the business.
The Stock Control Team is based at Truckman’s administration and warehousing facility in Dudley, which has undergone a programme of investment, including the installation of a large mezzanine floor to significantly increase its stockholding capabilities. Utilising its increased 125,000 square feet of warehousing space, Truckman holds an extensive stock of accessories, enabling it to meet the demands of the new registration release date.
In addition to its range of commercial and luxury hardtops for pick-up trucks, which are available for the latest pick-up truck models from Fiat, Ford, Isuzu and Mitsubishi, to Nissan, Toyota and Volkswagen, Truckman supplies a full range of practical and styling 4x4 accessories ranging from bedliners and tonneau covers to roof bars, security systems and parking sensors.
It also, for the first time, now offers Wolfrace alloy wheels and a collection of tyres for pick-up trucks, which are available in bespoke packages for Ford Ranger owners.
From its headquarters, Truckman also provides a specialist fitting service delivered by experienced vehicle technicians. In the run up to the 68 plate release, fitting bookings can be made directly by contacting 01384 485405 or through dealerships, which offer Truckman products among their approved accessories.
Supplementing its 4x4 offering, Truckman supplies a range of car accessories for the majority of makes and models including mats, car covers, wind deflectors, wheel covers and tow bars.
Mike Wheeler, Executive Chairman of Truckman, said: “With enquiries and orders already building ahead of the 68 plate release the addition of Julie and Josh to our stock management team will ensure we can forecast and meet demand for our accessory range. We pride ourselves in being able to turn orders around quickly, by having significant stock levels and Julie and Josh will play an integral role in ensuring we can complete the high level of orders that come with each new registration plate.”
