Does the alarm activate by movement/motion or is it simply activated by the door being opened?

If the door is left open and the central locking kicks in, the alarm will sound. Likewise, if the door is opened with the central locking armed, the alarm will sound. The best thing to do is stop auto lock on the vehicles electrical settings.
