I need to sometimes leave the tailgate open. Will the interior light give a flat battery or is there a simple way to turn the light off?

The interior light has three options. On/Off and Door. It'll be set to door as standard so it comes off and on when the door is open/closed. Change the settings to manual to switch it off if the door is going to be open for a while, otherwise you'll drain the battery.
