Mounting bikes to the rack is simple thanks to the detachable arms, which feature Thule’s AcuTight torque limiter knobs that 'click' when the optimal torque has been reached to hold the bikes securely.Each bike is fastened to the rack with adjustable pump buckles which have extra-long rim straps, giving you peace of mind that your bikes will be secure during your journey. Thanks to the advanced, pedal controlled folding mechanism, the bike rack does not block access to the boot of your vehicle, even when bikes are mounted to the rack.

Thule’s Trail cargo basket has T-slots built into the tops of the front and rear rails, allowing you to easily attach channel-mounted carriers and accessories. The T-slots included Thule’s WindDiffuser strips, which you can cut and place into position around your mounted accessories. When no accessories are mounted, these strips will help keep dirt and debris out of the channels.

Thule’s VeloSpace XT 2 features a unique tilting function, this operates with a simple foot pedal mechanism which swings the bikes away from your vehicle and gives you full access to the boot, even when the bike rack is fully loaded. Ideal if you need to pack something last minute for your trip or if you need to quickly grab something which has already been packed up.

Fitting the VeloSpace XT bike rack is extremely straightforward and takes less than a minute. Simply pop the latch onto your tow bar’s tow ball and lower the arm to secure the bike rack into place. Each bike is held into place with ultra-strong ratchet straps (included) which clamp the wheels down into the wheel trays. Each bike is then secured to the rack’s A-frame and clamped to the bike’s tubes, using soft rubber clamping jaws.

Installation is straightforward, thanks to the SmartSlide technology, a moulded measurement system which provides a quick, no-hassle, tape measure-free foot installation. SmartSlide also covers the underbar slot to improve aerodynamics and noise diffusion.
