How to fit BedRug

How to fit BedRug

The closed cell foam floor acts as a shock absorber, protecting your bed from any damage whilst on the move - but also keeping your load safe.

At Truckman, we understand that not everyone is comfortable fitting accessories to the vehicle themselves, which is why we offer an expert fitting service to our customers. However, if you do fancy fitting the BedRug yourselves then follow the steps below:

Please note: This should be used as a rough guide, in-depth instructions will be supplied with the BedRug.

Step One:
Prepare everything ready for installation - check that the kit contains everything that it should do e.g. all the parts listed in the kit contents. Wash the load bed and tailgate area thoroughly and then dry.

Step Two:
Pre-assemble the BedRug - align the sides of the bedliner - making sure that the bedliner floor is face down. Once properly aligned and zip sides into place.

Step Three:
Pre-fitting BedRug - Attach the tape to the underside of the bed section without removing the adhesive protective film. Place the BedRug in position in the load bed, once in the bed, located where the tape meets the bed and wipe clean. Remove the backing tape and stick down. Attach the hook fasteners as shown. Clean the areas where the adhesive tape will make contact. Remove the adhesive backing and stick down.

Some truck beds are equipped with tie-down hooks, load extenders, accessory lights and other functional equipment located in the floor or sidewalls. For these the installer must either:

a) Cut a small slit or opening in the appropriate area allowing the equipment to protrude through the BedRug surface (This will not damage the bedliner)

b) Remove the equipment until the BedRug installation is complete, then reinstall the equipment on top of the bedliner.

Step Four:
Installing the BedRug sidewalls - Rear vertical edge of bedliner should be positioned to match the D-pillar surface. Start at the front and work rearward and begin to remove the film from the fasteners bottom to top and from front to back. Firmly press the bedliner sidewall for 15 seconds to ensure adhesive attachment. Attach the hook fasteners as shown and repeat for both sides of the bed. Attach the tailgate section as shown below.
