Product Description

The Truckman Classic High Roof Hardtop for the Ford Ranger/B2000 is a strong commercial truck top with steel reinforcements. The Truckman Classic High Roof Hardtop boasts the strongest tailgate door of any hardtop in the world. This high roof top has an integral ladder rack and is ideal for both work and play.

The Truckman Classic has an integral ladder rack with tie down points plus the roof can carry a load of up to 55kg. This hardtop also features the strongest rear door of any currently on the market and has a locking handle to secure your load.

The rear door glass is tinted, helping to shield the load from view. Steel security grilles or solid doors are available as extra security measures. The wipe down interior of the Truckman Classic High Roof Hardtop is easily cleaned; jet washing or scrubbing your hardtop will not damage it.

Fitting

The Truckman classic high roof hardtop can take up to 3 hours for it to be fitted, however this does depend on the person who is fitting it. All our Truckman hardtops come with complete fitting instructions for added ease. If you do require additional help our lovely fitters are on hand to give you any advice, or if you'd prefer, we do provide a fitting service.

Can you open it from the inside?

The window only opens from the outside.

How tough is the glass?

We use 6mm toughened glass that is curved to fit the contours of the hardtop.

Can I change the windows in my hardtop to a different style?

Unfortunately, this is not possible. Each of our hardtops are bespoke, hand made in a mould to suit which windows are going to be installed in it. The shape of the hardtop has been specially designed to ensure the windows that are installed create a sealed unit and fit correctly. For example, you may have a Truckman hardtop with pop out windows (Grand), but you are finding that you need side access or more ventilation. Unfortunately, it's not possible to take the out the window and replace it with a side access door or sliding windows, as the shape would be completely different. Another common question is - can I fit a window into my solid sided hardtop? Unfortunately, again this is not possible. We would never recommend cutting holes into our hardtops, the risk of damaging the hardtop beyond repair is too much.

How do I maintain my hardtop?

You can maintain your hardtop by regularly greasing the locks, checking the clamps are tight and aligning the slam latches. For more detail, see the following video.

How is a hardtop secured to my vehicle?

Your hardtop is attached to your vehicle by six clamps securely tightened to eight newton-metres, so there's no need for any drilling to the vehicle. These clamps make sure the neoprene foam seal stays in place. All electrics are wired through a multi-plug. Hardtops are designed to fit to vehicles either with an under-rail bed liner or no bed liner. If you have an over-rail bed liner, a small modification may be required.Please note on some newer model hardtops, for example the Amarok, this uses a bolt-on system instead.

Does the hardtop make my truck bed 100% waterproof?

Our hardtops are designed to be weatherproof, so they can take the British outdoors in their stride. They feature built-in seals around both the load bed and windows, and although no canopy is 100% leak proof when subjected to extreme rainfall over a prolonged period, all Truckman's hardtops are designed to withstand everyday downpours. Keeping your hardtop well maintained can help avoid water ingress.
