Truckman receives official Isuzu approval for new British-built RS-3 hardtop

One of the most accessible and robust hardtops on the market, the cab-high Truckman RS-3, was designed to maximise the side door apertures without compromising strength. Truckman was able to achieve this because of their in-depth knowledge of lamination theory and structural design. Achieving OEM approval from Isuzu is further endorsement of this highly practical hardtop, which was launched earlier this year for the D-Max pick-up truck.

Designed, engineered and manufactured in the UK, the RS-3 features gull-wing doors which along with the rear door, provides all-round access to enable tradespeople and engineers to easily access tools and equipment anywhere in the truck bed.

The increased level of access is matched by its security features, which include remote central locking on all three doors and a tinted glazed rear door to keep truck bed contents from view.

It can also be fitted with Truckman’s range of racking and drawers, which can be seamlessly installed to help users organise and store tools and equipment.

This commercial hardtop is also highly-adaptable and, as well as coming in a variety of colour-coded finishes, can be fitted with optional lights, vents, bespoke wiring and beacons.

Manufactured in the West Midlands, the RS-3 comes standard in Isuzu’s ‘Splash White’ gel superior gloss finish, which offers a more robust finish compared to the wet paint finish, thanks to the gel coat having good chemical and impact resistance – as well as reducing lead times and costs. The hard-wearing gel coat is much thicker than wet paint so even deep scratches to the hardtop’s exterior can be polished out. The gel coat has comprehensive UV protection to provide a durable long-term gel white finish.
